FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSPECTOR)


Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Aircrew Technician Series, 2185. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-10, or equivalent in other pay systems. Must have experience in at least one of the following aircraft types, KC-135, C-10, C-5, C-17, and C-130. Utilizes Flight Engineer and aircraft knowledge to ensure the C-130H ATDs properly emulate the aircraft in accordance with various DoD, AF, AMC, FAA directives. Must maintain appropriate aircrew qualification level in the unit's assigned aircraft. Periodically, as prescribed by regulations, must take and pass written and in-flight standardization/evaluation examinations to include random no-notice evaluations. NOTE:
YOU MUST SUBMIT SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-10 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of operating principles and characteristics of major aircraft systems (i.e., fuel, electrical , hydraulics, fire suppression, environmental, pressurization, engine) and the function of applicable controls, panels and indicators ; and skill in analyzing operating conditions, diagnosing problems, determining alternate procedures and or initiating corrective actions. 2. Knowledge of the interrelationships among aircraft systems and the impact of change in performance of others and skill to analyze overall aircraft condition. 3. Knowledge of aircraft performance parameters and limitations in relation flight procedures during takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, and landing and skill to take and interpret instrument readings, make control adjustments , manage fuel flow and update performance data. 4. Knowledge of the methods of instruction, Aircrew training program requirements, procedures, and standards of performance; and skill to apply this knowledge in executing ATD evaluation and acceptance testing. 5. Knowledge and skilled in the principles, concepts, and methodology related to simulation and subsystem interactions and C-130H training devices to include Cockpit Functional Trainer (CFT), Cockpit Procedures Trainer (CPT), Fuselage Trainer (FUT), Weapon System Trainer (WST), and Satellite Nav Station (SNS). 6. Skill in reviewing projects to determine that the objectives meet contract requirements and comply with local and higher headquarters policies and regulations, and ability to access or locate information through the use of a personal computer and software programs. Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
