Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Basic Education Requirement:
Degree:
economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus; OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting one of the Basic Requirements listed above, applicants must meet the following Minimum Qualifications Requirement in order to be considered:
Specialized
Experience:
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. This experience must include:
Gathering, analyzing, and evaluating information concerning critical mathematical, statistical, or other relevant factors in support of organizational planning activities; Applying economic research methodologies and quantitative analysis techniques to conduct economic research, analysis and outlook relevant to agriculture, natural resources and/or rural development; Participating in strategic planning activities, including assisting in defining program objectives, goals, measures and financial evaluation of costs or estimates. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
