JOB GOAL:
To aid and support the academic success of students by providing positive behavior interventions and supports.

Lacey K-8 Academy will serve as a beacon to stakeholders and an avenue to addressing trauma, promoting wellbeing, and elevating learning for all.
This will be done through giving deliberate intention to implementing school-wide systems that embody mastery-based learning opportunities, a growth-based educational approach, and strength-based instruction in every classroom.
Learners will engage in high levels of hands-on experiences, real world investigations, and applied literacy and mathematics learning.
Students at Lacey will have opportunities to engage in structured science, technology, reading/writing, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STREAM) experiences from kindergarten through eighth grade, building a strong cohort of leaders who possess 21st Century skills for collaborative problem-solving, technological literacy, and career-readiness.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Participate and successfully complete the required on-boarding and professional development boot-camp beginning July, 2024 and continuing throughout the school year, both on and off contract.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Nine and one-fourth (9.
25) month (190 days) contract, Table 802 Grade 04, NOTE:
Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon experience.
FLSA:
Non-Exempt.
This position is reviewed annually and is contingent upon appropriate funding.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years job experience in public or private sector.
BA degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years in public education with three (3) years job experience working with at-risk students.
Experience in implementation of behavioral interventions.
Must display knowledge of basic computer skills (Word Processing).
Sensitivity to language and cultural differences.
Excellent communication and social skills.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of working with children and adults.
Commitment to the importance of confidentiality of records.
Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.

Provides on-going consultation to school personnel in dealing with students experiencing problems.
Works collaboratively with school administration and other personnel in facilitating the implementation of appropriate strategies and techniques.
Works directly with teachers in assessing students' social/behavioral needs and in designing and implementing behavior management plans to meet the needs of disabled and non-disabled students.
Works with teachers and other school personnel in conducting effective social skills training and crisis prevention.
Provides technical assistance and support for the instructional improvement process.
Provides in-service training of school personnel on behavior interventions, crisis prevention interventions and anger management.
Participates in professional growth and development activities.
Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external customers including students, parents, co-workers, etc.
Schedules and/or attends conferences with parents.
Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional manner to develop cooperative relationships and to ensure confidentiality of student and employee records.
Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
