SALES03725 Showing 1 location Job Details Description ONeal Steel is currently seeking a Sales Manager for the Little Rock, AR office.
The Sales Manager supervises and directs the district sales team, including Inside and Outside Sales.
Implements business development strategy that drives positive financial results for the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Directly responsible for continuous sales volume growth and new account development.
Develop pricing strategies, perform account pricing reviews and enforce compliance with O'Neal Pricing Excellence.
Supervise sales employees:
conduct performance and salary reviews, develop strategies for performance and productivity improvement, administer discipline, justify and request new personnel and schedule employee time off.
Lead the Outside Sales team to develop and manage a robust sales funnel.
Approve credits, debits and return authorizations as required.
Lead account development and prospect qualification process.
Entertain customers, suppliers and visitors; make visits to existing accounts; make visits to potential accounts; handle customer complaints.
Conduct territory and market research and develop sales strategies.
Respond to corporate requests for information through direct interaction with Accounting, Credit, Human Resources, Information Services, Supply Chain, Benefits, Risk Management, Product Development, Business Development and the Leadership team.
Prepare and review various sales reports.
Assist in inventory management through forecasting and evaluating service levels, including customer specific inventory.
Conduct projects and studies on procedures, products processes, etc.
Coordinate new employee training and continuing education for sales employees.
Quality Responsibility:
Responsible for providing on-time and error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
Minimum of 5 years' of previous sales experience in the steel or metal industry.
Previous Managerial experience preferred Must possess strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication, time management, & problem solving skills Proficient with computer applications and internet based applications.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field preferred.
Non-degree candidates with equivalent in training and experience will be considered.
