Summary of Job DutiesThe Extra Help for Hispanic Latino Latina Initiative (HLI) Chair will assist with the execution of HLI within the Student Affairs Diversity Initiatives (SADI) and Multicultural Center.
Initiatives within SADI are designed to empower, support, and assist African American and Hispanic Latino Latina students in achieving their goal of earning a college degree.
Specifically, HLI supports Hispanic Latino Latina students as they pursue their degrees, as well as creates programs to celebrate and uplift those students' cultures and heritage.
This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
QualificationsMinimum Qualificaitons Currently enrolled UA Little Rock undergraduate student.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Working with the Cultural Events Chair to plan Hispanic Heritage Month programming and holiday celebrations; Oversee a committee of SADI members who will assist with planning and implementing events; Complete 7-20 office hours per week, using the time to plan, implement, and attend events and programs; lead committee meetings; and participate in collaborative meetings with other SADI Chairs and MC Staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Passion for Hispanic Latino Latina culture and community; Ability to serve as the liaison between Multicultural Center and Hispanic Latino Latina groups on campus and in the Little Rock community.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
