DutiesPlans, schedules, develops and coordinates arts and crafts activities such as painting with multiple mediums and surfaces, Provides instruction, guidance and leadership to participants.
Submits program plans to encompass labor, materials, venues, marketing and publicity.
Determines costs and pricing associated with events.
Assists in the performance of liaison duties between A&C and base organizations.
Observes work performance of A&C volunteers and contracted instructors and makes recommendations to the Skills Center Director.
May operate the cash register, collect money, make change and issue receipts.
May work an irregular tour of duty to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifying
Experience:
Must have experience teaching art, restoring art objects, or as an artist.
Progressive experience with mix medias and materials is preferred.
Must have a clear speaking voice and be able to deal with the public.
Prior customer service experience is required.
OREducation:
Bachelors or Graduate in one of the fine or applied arts appropriate to the position.
EducationSome federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
This position does allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION:
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.
