To provide clerical services and general office support to the staff of Elementary Schools.
The incumbent in this position will perform other clerical related duties in the principal's office as directed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Pay 719 Grade 1 (31) -- Nine and one-fourth (9.
25) month contract (188 days) plus benefit package.

Non-Exempt NOTE:
Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma.
Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to operate telephone console (instructions provided).
Must have computer skills working with eSchool preferred.
Must be able to operate telephone console (instructions provided).
Must display knowledge of computer software and hardware.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:

Operates all office machines, assists in keeping the school office organized, and performs clerical duties.
Operates all office machines and assists in keeping the school office clean and organized.
Makes simple repairs on damaged books and processes more severely damaged books for repair at the bindery.
Readies books for reserve on teacher's request, and maintains the back-number stacks.
Assists the Media Specialist in the annual inventory of library materials, and the preparation of lists of missing books to be discarded, and daily media center operations.
Shelves incoming books and oversees the general neatness and attractiveness of the library and its displays.
Performs other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, go up and downstairs, operate foot and hand controls, use a telephone, and write.
Occasionally the employee must lift and/or move up to twenty (20) or more pounds.
This position requires accurate perceiving of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, handling and working with educational materials and/or objects, and providing oral information.
Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period, and to be physically present and at assigned work, with only infrequent unexcused absences, during the contract year.
Additional technical skills, knowledge, and abilities may be recommended by the immediate supervisor and approved by the Human Resources Director.
Primary Location FOREST PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Salary Range Per Year Shift Type Full-Time.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
