Job Summary/Scope The Computer Technician oversees setting up, managing, and troubleshooting the technology systems that maintain computer and software networks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to responding to hardware problems, updating system software, and tracking the data and communications used on the company network.
Must have the ability to lift and/or move various computer equipment and work independently.
Essential Functions 1.
Follows and enforces systems, including Standard Operating Procedures.
2.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning information technology and IT security.
3.
Maintains computers, phones, broadband devices, and other associated technological equipment for speed, dependability, accessibility, and security.
4.
Provides real time support for user hardware and software needs.
a.
Documents activities, progress, and issue status in IT support software.
5.
Utilizes analytical and problem-solving skills to address support issues.
6.
Responsible for analyzing computer hardware problems, service, and ordering replacement parts as necessary.
a.
Ensures software and equipment purchases follow approval procedure and is within budgetary allotment.
b.
Responsible for maintenance of IT inventory.
7.
Installs software, demonstrating its operational usage and troubleshooting when users are faced with problems.
8.
Responsible for setup and problem solving of computer network systems, cabling, and wireless network.
9.
Configures email accounts through Office365.
10.
Ensures proper set up of equipment for web conferences and other events that use computers and their peripherals.
11.
Services and maintains computer related peripherals such as printers, projectors, web cameras, and scanners.
12.
Ensures the Manager of Information Technology (IT) is aware of status and issues regarding hardware and software systems.
a.
Assists Manager of IT regarding hardware and software systems as directed.
13.
Responsible for ensuring backup of all computer files including facilitating the monthly verification of data recovery and documenting results.
Secondary Functions 1.
Assist the Manager of IT inventory destruction according to IT destruction schedule.

Completes and maintains appropriate documentation in a timely and thorough manner including activities.

Minimum Job Requirements 1.
Associates degree in information technology related fields with at least 2 years relevant work as computer technician or help desk experience, required.

Must have ability to lift and/or move various computer equipment.
3.
Must have the ability to work independently.
4.
Maintain a valid driver's license, reliable automobile, and proof of automobile insurance.
5.
Consistent demonstration of attention to detail, precision, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
6.
Possess strong prioritization skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks.
7.
Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills (i.

Ability to utilize general office equipment, software, and must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
