Summary of Job Duties:
The Field Assistant position is responsible for preparing for sampling events, collecting samples, collecting stream parameters, collecting notes in the field, and following quality assurance and quality control procedures.
This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or
Experience:
Enrolled as a UA Little Rock student.
Preferred Education and/or
Experience:
Some college and field experience.
Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Preparing to collect water samples; Collecting water samples; Collecting stream parameters; Taking field notes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities; Knowledge of water sampling procedures; Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems; Ability to organize, prepare and present clear and concise oral and written information; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
